Goggles and Mouthguard

Women’s lacrosse only requires goggles and mouth guards for protection during the game. This is because the women’s checking rules are extremely regulated and refined as opposed to the men’s.

Checking in women’s lacrosse is defined as a controlled hit against the ball carrier’s stick that does not endanger that player’s body.
