Kansas State women’s lacrosse is a newly recognized club sport at the University. The wildcats were inducted into the Central Plains Women’s Lacrosse League (CPWLL) during the Fall 2012 semester, and the team completed their first season during the Spring 2013 semester.

Any K-State female student is encouraged to join regardless of prior experience or lack thereof. The team is very committed to new players and helping them learn the basics of the sport. As such, players are asked to and encouraged to attend practices regularly and participate in recruitment and team bonding events.

As of the Fall 2014 semester, a point system will be put into place. Points are awarded for attending practice, fundraising events, our games as well as other club sport games, and bonding activities. These points are used to determine playing time for the players. This will allow women that have shown committment to the team are awarded for doing so. The point system is run by the current secretary. If a player needs to be absent to an event, they are to contact the secretary in a timely fashion to determine if the excuse is acceptable or not.
